Prime Spectator Areas

To ensure the safety of our spectators and the best view, Repco Rally New Zealand has designated Prime Spectator Areas. Please refer to the Spectator Map or the GPS coordinates in the Official Programme.  These areas are fully marshalled.  At the Prime Spectator areas, running commentary of the rally will be broadcast via a PA, with food outlets and toilet facilities available. Please note: EFTPOS will not be available. Parking in paddocks may be available; payment will be a $2 donation to the local community. Please take your rubbish with you, or use the rubbish bags provided.

Other Spectator Areas

Viewing outside the Prime Spectator Areas is available and these areas are marked on the Official Map with access details for these viewing points shown in the Official Programme.

Disabled Access

Please contact the Repco Rally New Zealand office (phone 09 276-0882 or via our website www.rallynz.org.nz) for details of those spectator points with the best disabled access.

Event Passes, Programmes and Rally Map

Available from all Repco stores in New Zealand online at www.repco.co.nz as well as on the day at spectator areas and Mystery Creek.  The Official programme including the Official Map is only $5.  Official Merchandise is available online from www.repco.co.nz and at selected Repco stores.

Ceremonial Start, Hood Street, Hamilton

This is a free event where you can meet the drivers for autographs between 4pm and 6pm. The official Repco Rally New Zealand welcome follows with the first car coming over the start ramp at 6:30pm. Competitors and their cars come through the ceremonial start in reverse order, meaning top WRC drivers will be the last to start at approx 7:30pm.

  Mystery Creek is Rally Base for REPCO RALLY NEW ZEALAND 2008.

 SHAKEDOWN                                    Thu 28 August                       8am - 12pm

Shakedown takes place at Mystery Creek Events Centre on Thursday. It is the only opportunity for the WRC Teams to test their cars before the event.    Watch the rally cars fly around Mystery Creek - four solid hours of rally action and servicing all in the one location.

MYSTERY CREEK SUPER SPECIAL

A 3.14km gravel stage built within Mystery Creek, specially designed for spectators.  FREE Grandstand access and designated spectator areas ensure you get the best view of international WRC superstars and New Zealand's best rally drivers.

SERVICE PARK

Every day the rally cars return to their team service area at Mystery Creek to repair any damage and ensure the cars remain in peak condition to continue the rally. It's definitely worth the visit to see these professionals servicing... you may learn how to change a transmission in under 15 minutes!!

SUPER MOTARD SUPER SHOWDOWN

One of the fastest growing motorsports! Watch NZ's top motard riders on these high performance machines racing for the first time on a WRC gravel stage.  Rallying on two wheels, with bikes on a mixed tarmac and gravel course.... TRACTOR PULL COMPETITION

See modified tractors competing in this specialised discipline.  These are nothing like the average farm tractor!

BIG SCREENS located throughout the pavilion and opposite the Subaru Grandstand will show LIVE rally action from ALL stages - three Mystery Creek Stages & thirteen in Pirongia / Waitomo, Franklin / Te Akau, and Raglan districts.  All coming to you via the ‘eye-in-the-sky' helicopter. Don't miss a moment of the WRC action complimented by expert live commentary.

TRADE & DISPLAY AREA

Visit the Repco store, purchase your favourite WRC merchandise and a host of other goodies.   Compete in slot car competitions, the rally simulator challenge and check out the action in and around the Pavilion.
