Family-owned Dayle ITM has taken the naming rights sponsorship of 2019 Dayle ITM Goldrush Rally of Coromandel – the next round of the Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship.

The building supply company has committed support to the fifth and penultimate round of the 2019 Championship to be based out of seaside resort town Whitianga – an event that is likely to see the title won in some of the major classes.

Dayle ITM has been operating for 43 years and the local Kopu store, which started three years ago, is just in the process of having its new showroom built, and the prenail and truss manufacturing there is going gangbusters.

Director Deborah Day has a background in motorsport and has provided excellent support to the sport in many different ways via ITM in recent years.

“We’re both passionate about the sport and choose to support it in a variety of ways,” Day said. “We have drivers competing internationally and nationally, as well as our safety car and intervention vehicles used to support circuit racing.

“Coming on board to support Rally New Zealand with the Dayle ITM Goldrush Rally of Coromandel seemed like a logical step to support local grassroots rallying, and part of our national championship.

“We’re also appreciative of the revenue and economic impact the event brings to the Coromandel Peninsula and we’re proud to be the local ITM store supporting this event.”

2019 Dayle ITM Goldrush Rally of Coromandel begins with a ceremonial opening in downtown Whitianga on Friday August 16 before competition begins the next morning north and south of the township.
